Chelsea. our new home.

So we got our first london apartment and its in Chelsea. We move in wednesday morning and we are soooooo excited. Soon we will be residents of a gorgeous georgian street of white terrace homes in a very sought after neighborhood.

We spent all day sunday switching hotels so that we would be closer to our new home. to save money we took trip after trip across the entire city on the tube to transport our luggage. it was exhausting. The old room was airconditioned and big and clean and had a daily cookie delivery. The new room is teeny tiny and hot hot hot. but there is fantastic restaurants surrounding us. John had his first commute from our neighborhood to his work. Apparently I have some sort of hay fever and so I stayed in an airconditioned starbucks all day applying for jobs online.

Tonight John got lost and walked 5 miles trying to get home...when he arrived at 7;30 (thats a 12 hour day for him he left at 7:30 this morning) he was all stripey with sweat on his dress shirt. London is the best weight loss programme we've ever been on.

We had fabulous itialian pasta dishes just around the corner surrounded by overexcited italian football fans. The world cup has begun and London is engulfed. John is sore... he missed the first England game because I made him look at flats all day.
