Match Day

We attended our first football match this weekend.
Fulham v Everton and the game was fantastic, at Fulham's Craven Cottage stadium.
We had good seats and great autumn weather.
The pitch was lush green and the sky was bright blue.

Everton dominated in the first half
but the Fulham cottagers (thats their team name)
put the pressure on, scored a goal and won the match.
John was torn as some of his "Fantasy Football" boys were
playing on both sides. He cheered for the home team, as
we were sitting on the home side, but was secretly rooting for
some of the away team guys. The outcome was not condusive to
his rankings in his companies' fantasy league. If things don't turn
around for him soon, the American (John) will be at the bottom of the
company league (as everyone expects anyway).

They limit the fans in purchasing alcoholic drinks...
you can only buy before the game begins and during half time...
And you cannot bring alcohol into the stands.
But that did not stop the hooligans,
as we saw a few of them get kicked out of the stadium.
